About Bluetooth OBD2 Car Scanner

A small plug that fits the diagnostic socket of a car and talks to a phone over Bluetooth. With a free OBD2 app it reads and clears engine fault codes and shows live readings such as engine speed and coolant temperature.

It works with petrol cars from 2001 and diesel cars from 2004 sold in the EU. The socket is usually under the dashboard on the driver's side. It covers engine (powertrain) data; what it can read from other systems such as ABS or airbags depends on the make of the car.
